For their match strategy, Bern-Nord had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. C. Meyer couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted A. Fürstenmühl as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for Bern-Nord - 1 - 0! It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. 19 minutes into the game Grilled's R. Isufi found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Bern-Nord fans held their breath as S. Walker scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! Bern-Nord's O. Sayrun got himself booked for a foul. Coming through the middle M. bin Mohd Kassim almost scored the equaliser for Grilled after 28 minutes, but A. Aginalde made an excellent save, tipping the awkward curled shot past the post. W. Schuster finished off the counterattack of Bern-Nord from the left rather easily, making the score 3 - 1. 40 minutes in, L. Lee Hao made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but A. Aginalde refused to let the ball slip by him. Grilled breathed new life into the game with an attempt to reduce the lead after 42 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball off the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar. With 44 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Grilled showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 2 when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

After 47 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after M. bin Mohd Kassim made it through the middle and struck home to make it 3 - 3. After 55 minutes of play, O. Sayrun gave the home team a 4 - 3 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Grilled tied it all up, 67 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by R. Isufi, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 4 - 4. After 73 minutes, Bern-Nord began to show their lack of experience and they threatened to wilt under the heavy pressure from their opposition. Grilled's 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) could have put the guests one up after 74 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but A. Aginalde was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. A. Fürstenmühl was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Bern-Nord's defence 75 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 5 - 4. The visitors refused to give in and, after 78 minutes, 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 5 - 5 80 minutes into the game, 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) was a hair's breadth away from giving Grilled the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by A. Aginalde saved the home team that time. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 66 percent of the ball.
