Tanuk 0 - 10 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> 12000 spectators had found their way to Tanuk Arena, despite the heavy rain. Indra Putra bin Ismail was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauro Mattesini and Andrzej Szulakowski. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Tanuk. Lineup: bin Wahab - Yao Chuan, bin Musa, Kong Ming, 寸铮 (Cunzheng) - 平卫 (Pingwei) , bin Salleh, 晖平 (Huiping) , 军源 (Junyuan) - bin Yusof, bin Omar.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Tian Han - van der Ban, Bakhtiar - Bellamoli, Aik Jia, Lee Hao, Ping Shun, Meyer - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. P. Bellamoli was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. After 17 minutes, Grilled's H. Bakhtiar made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. The referee showed Grilled's R. van der Ban the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 游. 晖平 (Huiping) didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 29 minutes, Grilled's C. Ying Lee burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. After 38 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for P. Bellamoli who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3. Tanuk's 游. 晖平 (Huiping) was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 41 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed H. Bakhtiar to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. The visitors' W. Ping Shun took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 42 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Grilled. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 86 percent.

Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 47 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Meyer a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. Grilled increased their lead after 71 minutes when 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 74 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Aik Jia, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 8. Grilled made it 0 - 9 as C. Ying Lee got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to C. Meyer who whipped a low drive in off the far post. It was a bad day for the usually speedy Z. bin Salleh. The mud seemed to slow him down. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. P. Bellamoli received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 10. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Grilled's M. bin Mohd Kassim made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 84 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. The game was close to savage at times, and Grilled's R. van der Ban received a second yellow card after 85 minutes; his ticket out of the game. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, B. bin Musa of Tanuk spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 88 percent of the ball.

Most important Tanuk player was 何. 军源 (Junyuan) . M. bin Wahab was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . On the other hand, H. Bakhtiar's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 10.
