Defenders 0 - 8 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 5503 had shown up at FC rbitron Defender Arena for the match. Reece Ronin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Carlos Mara Prez and Danni Laue Friis. Defenders had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: bin Daniel - bin Hj Shahdini, bin Hj Jailani, bin Alias - bin Hj Hafiz, bin Mahdi, Lvano, bin Hj Johari, bin Hashim - bin Zulfadly, bin Hj Mustafa.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Seng - bin Ahmad, Bakhtiar - Won, Leong Kum, Isufi, Prabhu, Aik Jia - Wan Kang, Lee Hao, Bellamoli.

Today, Defenders's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. 0 - 1 was the score with 11 minutes played, after L. Lee Hao cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. H. bin Hj Jailani of Defenders was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 28 minutes, Grilled's R. bin Ahmad burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. L. Aik Jia received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 37 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. P. Bellamoli was, after 38 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper V. bin Daniel made the save. 39 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as L. Lee Hao finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. R. bin Ahmad wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Filippone after 46 minutes. M. bin Mahdi got left behind when Grilled's L. Aik Jia made a sudden run forward after 54 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 0 - 5! The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 60 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Won a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. After 64 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for C. Won who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 7. After 65 minutes, a deliberate handball from Defenders's H. bin Hj Jailani was judged to be his second bookable offence, and he was sent off. The visitors' G. Filippone took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 71 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Grilled. 76 minutes into the match, L. Wan Kang came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Defenders's M. bin Mahdi refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 78 minutes. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, D. Bgengang came on for L. Lee Hao. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let S. Fu replace H. Bakhtiar after 88 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

Defenders's top performer was clearly H. bin Alias. However, V. bin Daniel made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's best player was L. Aik Jia. On the other hand, S. Fu's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 8.
