Penguins 7 - 1 Grilled

iv id="matchReport"> Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Igloo Dome saw a crowd turnout of 61932. Joshua Hoogstrate was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ruben Pasquino and Svirgaudas Šadžius. Penguins tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Balikân - Maliqi, Polani, Ptolemeos - Haul, Yeng Meng, 晓楠 (Xiaonan) , Cheng Min, Maynard - Negoiţă, Aykal.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. They fielded: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Filippone - Ping Shun, Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Meyer, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

C. Ying Lee's speed was clear to see after 13 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 0 - 1. G. Filippone was, after 14 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper D. Balikân made the save. A. Haul charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Penguins, but the shot went well wide of the goal. Penguins's B. Maliqi put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 34 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. G. Polani gave Penguins the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 After 36 minutes, A. Haul put Penguins ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Confident in their lead, Penguins's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Penguins to 4 - 1 as P. Ptolemeos finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Penguins, with 54 percent of the ball.

A well placed corner kick from T. Aykal was followed by P. Ptolemeos's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Penguins, the score now 5 - 1. D. Balikân made a brilliant save 61 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from 朱. 长春 (Changchun) on the right hand side. Penguins's T. Aykal saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 69 minutes. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Penguins's T. Aykal increasing the lead to 6 - 1. Penguins solidified their lead at the 77 minute mark, as M. Yeng Meng dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 1. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Grilled's G. Filippone was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 88 minutes. R. bin Ahmad was given a chance to change things around. After 89 minutes, Grilled switched L. Aik Jia with Z. Jing Wei, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Penguins claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Penguins's top performer was clearly T. Aykal. G. Polani was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . On the other hand, R. bin Ahmad's play was disheartening. The match ends 7 - 1.
