Grilled had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. They fielded: Tian Han - Lee Hao, Filippone - Ping Shun, Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Jing Wei, Aik Jia - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang), Ying Lee.

Grilled had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 7 minutes in when C. Ying Lee came up alone against R. Besson who managed a block. L. Lee Hao caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but Mellerud's J. Renmo's shot went just wide. Z. Jing Wei had a good try after 23 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, A. Stjärnander scored for Mellerud putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 24 minutes. After 26 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) made it through the middle and struck home to make it 1 - 1. The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when Grilled's W. Ping Shun put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Mellerud's J. Renmo came in from the right after 34 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. 38 minutes in, Mellerud's N. Stjärnlius received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 63 percent of the ball.

50 minutes into the game, Mellerud wanted to bring some new energy to their game. J. Renmo gave S. Palol a quick hug as he left the field. As J. Renmo left the field, the coach signaled to M. Sjölin to be the new set pieces taker. Mellerud's opponents know to be wary of N. Stjärnlius's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 63 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! After 64 minutes, Grilled's W. Ping Shun made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 2 - 3. A drive down the left side allowed C. Ying Lee to get in close and score another goal for Grilled after 71 minutes, taking the score to 2 - 4. The visitors' 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 73 minutes into the match. 2 - 5 for Grilled. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Mellerud's M. Sjölin was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 75 minutes. C. Bertilsson was given a chance to change things around. With M. Sjölin no longer on the pitch, S. Palol took over free kick duty. S. Palol became the new Mellerud captain. After 81 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Z. Jing Wei a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 6. In a rapid move 82 minutes into the match, L. Aik Jia of Grilled lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) who easily hit it home to make it 2 - 7. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! By then 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) had scored three goals - a hat trick! 84 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 8 as W. Shun An finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Grilled had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

The most dominating Mellerud player was without a doubt S. Palol. N. Stjärnlius on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang). On the other hand, L. Lee Hao's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 8.
