BOGOMIEL mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Grilled's C. Ying Lee after 18 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Grilled increased their lead after 29 minutes when C. Ying Lee broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Grilled's C. Meyer was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 34 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was R. bin Ahmad. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After the ball was lifted in from the left, C. Ying Lee was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 35 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. J. Cisquell of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 39 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.

The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. J. Cisquell wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Filippone after 46 minutes. After 47 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for R. Isufi who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. After 55 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave R. Isufi a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. One of many good crosses from L. Lee Hao on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by R. Isufi, who scored for Grilled. 0 - 7 This third goal completed a hattrick for R. Isufi.
