Many thought N. Schafrath ought to have been awarded a penalty 16 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around W. Tian Han after a determined run through the middle. L. Aik Jia of Grilled was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish M. Tufeanu, which resulted in a goal making the score 0 - 1. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 33 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 39 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) . The crowd groaned when Q. Debert, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for Flames. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Grilled's L. Lee Hao placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but L. Aik Jia couldn't finish. Flames's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 61 minutes into the match as E. Lakatos ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 1 - 3. Flames supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to E. Lakatos who reduced the visitors' lead after 66 minutes to 2 - 3. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Stetson from Flames a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The home crowd was not impressed when C. Ying Lee came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Grilled were now up 2 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 53 percent of the ball.

Flames's top performer was clearly E. Lakatos. On the other hand, N. Schafrath's play was disheartening. 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) performed admirably for Grilled. Z. Jing Wei on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 4.
