Head coach Djan Bacelar announced today that Grilled Birds would be participating in the international Worldwide Allgäu-Guests III tournament, now in its sixth edition. Comprising sixteen clubs all from different nations, with four of them in the top division and nine just below, the Allgäu competition is shaping up to be a feast for the eyes.

Bacelar professed his hope that it will be something for the players to look forward to, after the Sunday league matches. "The boys are raring to go, and from what the trainers are telling me, they have the energy to burn. It will also make for nice preparation for the Hattrick Masters."

In other news, former Young Player of the Season Santosh Manik has returned to Singapore to play for Third Division side ÇlOuDBigSalT fC, on the back of a S$4.2 million deal with Mazzolandia. Manik had been less than prolific in Italy, having notched just four career goals in his three-season stay, and will be aching to really kick it up a notch in Pasir Ris.
