At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. With 12 minutes played, L. Aik Jia nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. With the scoreboard showing that 25 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after M. bin Mohd Kassim came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.

L. Wan Kang wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by P. Bakhtiar took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 52 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Grilled. 54 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and C. bin Sabtu was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 7 rolling the ball in by the right post. 65 minutes into the match, C. Awyong came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, Q. Madaini came on for C. Awyong. R. van der Ban left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 85 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. N.
