33 year-old wantaway Austrian centreback Walter Ross got the move that he had sought, as he went for S$52000 to Italian Division Nine club Escape to Victory Fc. Despite his ten-season tenure with the Birds, Ross has collected only 28 starts and 21 substitute appearances, a figure that he has always felt was far too low.

While recognized as a competent defender, there has always been a few ahead of him in the pecking order in the Grilled squad, and being left out from even the bench in the last few matches was too much for him to take. "I want to play, and it's not happening here." he noted matter-of-factedly.

His experience did find appreciation with Clemency FC (Luxembourg Division Four) and Lokomotive Intercept (Swiss Division Seven) too, but the former Number Two is now completely focused on his new career with Escape, and is eyeing a start against Gião United on Wednesday.

A few more players will be leaving Grilled, as youngsters Hubert Gum and Liew Teck Rong served notice to quit, after not managing to attract offers in their weeks training with the reserves. The Wings will likewise miss Lum Hui Seng, who candidly revealed that he saw being admitted to the academy as an achievement in itself, after being rejected by the youth sides of PS Toraja Muda (twice), Sandai Kitetsu, Polish Wood and Parkway Paladins.
