team11 0 - 8 Grilled

Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to team11 Arena. Olivier Schaeffer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Luis Carlos Conde and Krassimir Markov. team11 decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Guang Keng - Teck Yao, bin Mohd Zain, Hsiao Yen, bin Abu Shah - Chi Chun, bin Nik Leh, Kanjilal, Cheng Chiang - bin Sahat, bin Abdul Hamid.

Grilled started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. They fielded: Tian Han - Bakhtiar, Awyong - 福泉 (Fuquan) , bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Aik Jia, Ying Lee - Wan Kang, Bacelar, Bellamoli.

D. Bacelar gave the visitors the lead 4 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. bin Mohd Zain from team11 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 7 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 8 minutes, Grilled's P. Bellamoli burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. After 15 minutes team11's Y. Hsiao Yen contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Grilled increased their lead after 20 minutes when L. Aik Jia broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. The referee showed Grilled's D. Bacelar the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The home crowd cheered when, after 26 minutes, P. Bellamoli's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. team11's M. bin Mohd Zain had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 27 minutes having been played. T. Long Fu was the replacement. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.

O. Teck Yao of team11 was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 凌. 福泉 (Fuquan) was, after 59 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper T. Guang Keng made the save. D. Bacelar increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 68 minutes, D. Bacelar sent the corner kick right to M. bin Mohd Kassim who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 5! Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 70 minutes, Grilled did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, H. Bakhtiar was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 6. D. Bacelar wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by G. Dorogan. The home crowd was not impressed when G. Dorogan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 83 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 7. The visitors' 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 84 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Grilled. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 84 percent of the ball.

team11's top performer was clearly D. Kanjilal. M. bin Abdul Hamid was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was M. bin Mohd Kassim. C. Awyong on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 8.
