Gwee Gets Off
Portugal's Valejas Atlético Clube came in to take 17 year-old winger Gwee Wai Yi on a free transfer, with their head coach Ângelo Augusto Sério declaring himself taken in by Gwee's nous. "He's exactly what I tell the boys in our U-20 side to become." Sério said. "Quick feet when on the ball, snappy and short when passing it."
His Chicken Wings buddy Aziman Khairil, who is still looking for a permanent club, was happy for him. "Portugal! I've always wanted to play in Europe! Maybe it'll be my turn next." Khairil grinned in responsed to the news that Gwee had been selected by the Division Seven side. "Or Brazil, that would be good too."
