The referee showed Grilled's Djan Bacelar the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The home crowd was not impressed when Leong Wan Kang came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 21 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 2. Lee Han Yeow was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Loofers's 方 (Fang) 清豪 (Qinghao) managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 1 - 2 After 34 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave 梁 (Liang) 力勇 (Liyong) a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 77 percent.

Pompeo Bellamoli increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 4. Lee Han Yeow of Loofers received a yellow card after 55 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors' Chow Ying Lee took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 63 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for Grilled. The players of Grilled now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Grilled increased their lead after 77 minutes when Colby Awyong broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 7. After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 8. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 88 minutes, Alex Fonseca came on for Djan Bacelar. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let Sandy Fu replace Pompeo Bellamoli after 88 minutes. Grilled had most of the ball, with 85 percent of possession.

Loofers's top performer was clearly Lee Han Yeow. Wong Kong Boon on the other hand, had a terrible day. 凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) performed admirably for Grilled. However, Hovaness Noubaryan made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 8.
