4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. Starters: Seng - 福泉 (Fuquan), Ross, Madaini, 力勇 (Liyong) - Shaahee, Lefébure, Djekshenkulov, Chinchay, Mourão - Hobson.

TFFC decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Wan Shun - 绍博 (Shaobo), 道杰 (Daojie) - Allwang, Chee Rong, bin Naib, 军英 (Junying), 民耀 (Minyao) - Shun Lai, bin Ahmad, Mohd Hilman.

It was an obvious ambition of Grilled to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. TFFC saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Dan Seng looked great 12 minutes into the match after stopping a shot by the visitors' Iskandar Zulkernain bin Ahmad. After 26 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Grilled found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. TFFC had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Grilled was able to get his message across, and raised Grilled's organisation to solid. The guests took the lead 48 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Johannes Allwang scoring to make it 0 - 1. 51 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. After 55 minutes 林 (Lin) 民耀 (Minyao) made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Iskandar Zulkernain bin Ahmad who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 2. 68 minutes into the match Grilled's 梁 (Liang) 力勇 (Liyong) head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. 黄 (Huang) 军英 (Junying) could have put his team up another goal 70 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. 74 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Aizat Amrin Mohd Hilman to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. After 82 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by TFFC was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. 83 minutes into the game Grilled managed a counterattack, but 凌 (Ling) 福泉 (Fuquan) took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. TFFC claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

Seytek Djekshenkulov performed admirably for Grilled. Tim Hobson">Tim Hobson on the other hand, had a terrible day. TFFC's top performer was clearly Iskandar Zulkernain bin Ahmad. Tong Shun Lai was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
