A month after his world fell apart on not being able to find a club willing to take him on professionally, former Chicken Wings midfield prospect Liew Soon Ting has successfully moved to Swedish Division Five side Umedalens Idrottsförening on a free transfer, joining fellow hopefuls Raphael Anneser and Tristan Bernlef.

Liew credited Grilled with opening the doors, having allowed him to train with the senior side, and even finding a place for him in four friendly matches, which might have helped him to catch the eye of roving scouts.

"I have been told that Division Five in Sweden is probably equivalent to maybe Division Three here, so it's more than I had hoped for." Liew beamed. "I would not have made it had it not been for this second chance, and rest assured that I shall make the most of it!"
