Fresh-faced youth goalie Sagar Meshram was snapped up by Italian Division Nine side Mountgreen FC for S$582 000 today, although he may be moving on soon, with Mountgreen known for touching up and farming out their talent; a case in point being French teenager Adrien Le Hen's sale on a S$300 000 profit mere weeks after his arrival.
As with Loo last week, Sagar attracted plenty of attention, with Jonny Fussichella (Norge Division Six), ***Repülők*** (Hungarian Division Four), FC Grisakongur (Faroe Division Three), FC LosLocos (Swiss Division Five), Eagles78 (Italian Division Ten), Red _Devils (Dutch Division Eight) and ZABU (Chilean Division Six) also getting involved.
The Chicken Wings organized a sendoff for one of their favourite players, with new stand-in goalkeeper Sandy Fu half-jokingly imploring Sagar to stay on. "If he'll do that, maybe the coaches will stick me back in midfield!"
