heimu 4 - 0 Grilled
brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 67495 to Blackwood Field.
Lénárd Teller was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jørgen Bryde and
Jordi Necochea. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for heimu. The following players had been chosen: Smaev - Chao Cheng, 奥博 (Aobo) , Ricart - Petracchini, Leemans, Grgurović, Konupka, 偌庆 (Ruoqing) - bin Mustapa, Uraz.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Starters: Stacey - Crkvenjakov, 俊桂 (Jungui), Madaini, Tzonkov - Iten, Djekshenkulov, 长春 (Changchun), Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, Ying Lee.
Grilled clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. heimu's
Marcello Petracchini's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
Zeynel Uraz was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to make the score 1 - 0. heimu's
Zeynel Uraz had an excellent opportunity after 6 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! 20 minutes into the game, Grilled had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
Zeynel Uraz found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. The heimu free kick 29 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But there was an idea to it - the misdirected ball was turned into a cross towards
薛 (Xue) 偌庆 (Ruoqing), who was waiting for it in the box. That's 2 - 0! Don't forget to thank the assistant coach for that gem of a routine! heimu's
Lee Chao Cheng was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With 40 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Grilled resulted in a counterattack that set
Seytek Djekshenkulov free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
Seytek Djekshenkulov couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted
Zeynel Uraz as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for heimu - 3 - 0! Good work by Grilled's defensive line after 43 minutes produced a couple of good counterattack chances, one of which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
Seytek Djekshenkulov alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
朱 (Zhu) 奥博 (Aobo) of heimu was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Grilled mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 44 minutes, but
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim was unable to convert from short range. Halftime score was 3 - 0. heimu enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.
During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation in time for the re-start. The score became 4 - 0 at 68 minutes into the game, when heimu were given a penalty with which
Roger Ricart made no mistake. heimu had to make a substitution after 71 minutes.
Safri bin Mustapa limped off the field and was replaced by
Tobies Turu. After 74 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Zeynel Uraz might have resulted in another goal for heimu. However,
Dexter Stacey made a spectacular save. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes
Slavcho Tzonkov made way for
Yvan Lefébure. The coach of heimu was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 76 minutes,
Yap Jing Hin came on for
Arnošt Konupka. After 80 minutes, Grilled switched
Vukota Crkvenjakov with
Walter Ross, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs
Chow Ying Lee found it hard to get back into position. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave
Rosendo Chinchay the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Paolo Iten reluctantly left the field. heimu held the ball, with a clear 56 percent of possession.
heimu's best player was
Ljubomir Grgurović.
薛 (Xue) 偌庆 (Ruoqing) was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim.
Rosendo Chinchay turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
