Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Paolo Iten could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. After 39 minutes, Paolo Iten sent the corner kick right to 唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0-2! The home crowd cheered when, after 40 minutes, Hung Wee Li's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. After 43 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Wardi Azhari who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3. It was 0 - 3 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 73 percent possession of the ball.

A thrilling play through the middle 50 minutes into the match gave Grilled's Neo Da Teck a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. Grilled's players now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. With 53 minutes played, 唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, Krishnan Adabala came on for 朱 (Zhu) 长春 (Changchun). A penalty was called after 62 minutes, and Grilled's Paolo Iten made the most of his chance to put his team up by another goal. 0 - 5 for the visitors. After 66 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed 唐 (Tang) 恒才 (Hengcai) to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. 74 minutes in, Sternchenkicker's Abd Karim bin Abdullah received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors added to their lead 75 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Paolo Iten slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 7. After 77 minutes, Sternchenkicker's Lin Loong Long fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. As Walter Ross was substituted 85 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Yvan Lefébure was the replacement. Grilled's Niculae Stanca wanted to play on, but 85 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for Rosendo Chinchay. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Rosendo Chinchay took over the role of being the Grilled captain. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 77 percent of the time.

Sternchenkicker's top performer was clearly Ng Kim Qiang. Fu Jing Eng was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Paolo Iten. On the other hand, Alvaro Silvera's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 7.
