Grilled 0 - 3 Feds
ather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 2159.
Sílvio Castelo Preto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Giuliano Grammatico and
David Pavone. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Silvera - Crkvenjakov, Ross - Da Teck, Gudivada, Adabala, Boon Boon, Yong Yau - Azhari, 恒才 (Hengcai), Ying Lee.
Feds started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Mamoré - Gamboa, Almaraz, Zelaia - Bichlmair, Renattus, Gütlbauer, Neiva, Oviparo - Stigén, Pântea.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. With 36 minutes played, Grilled's
Walter Ross fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Walter Ross for diving. 39 minutes in, Feds's
Leonida Pântea received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Feds's
Edvard Stigén after 42 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. 43 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
Leonida Pântea finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Feds's
Vítor Luís Neiva got himself booked. Grilled had to make a substitution after 44 minutes.
Mayur Gudivada limped off the field and was replaced by
林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui). 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Feds enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Grilled's coach gave
Hung Wee Li the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Neo Da Teck reluctantly left the field. The game had been on for 65 minutes when
Zunbeltz Zelaia broke through on the right, upping the score for Feds to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 68 minutes, the Feds players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game.
Leonida Pântea knew he was in trouble after pulling back an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Feds player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. 77 minutes into the game, Feds seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organization. Feds came close to extending their lead as
Zunbeltz Zelaia delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 80 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. After 88 minutes, Grilled switched
Vukota Crkvenjakov with
Björn Olsson, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Alvaro Silvera took over the role of being the Grilled captain. Feds claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.
Most important Grilled player was
Chow Ying Lee.
Alvaro Silvera was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Feds player was without a doubt
Vítor Luís Neiva.
Thankmar Bichlmair turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
