In a sensational development, Grilled's German frontman Domenik Bögengang was sold to Lithuanian Division Three club fk seskai for S$9 million, just days after he expressed his dissatisfaction with the coach. Although the move was not a complete surprise, with Bögengang a regular on the transfer list, the timing still came out of the blue to observers.

Han disagreed. "With our Cup commitments over, this was the best time for us to part ways. Domenik was one of our highest earners, so this will help relieve our wage pressure with that source of income gone.
