Mei Makes It

National Day took on additional meaning for aspiring 17 year-old midfielder Mei Pingsheng, who proudly donned the orange Number 21 shirt of Polish Division Nine side KS Partacze Partolin, after obtaining a free transfer. Mei was described by his coaches as being largely undeveloped, but possessed of good organizational skills.

"Given time, he could become a very useful player." scout Mok Feng De, who discovered him, said. "He was always one of the hardest workers here."

There has been no official word on the club regarding winger Tan Meng Guang, who was one of the Chicken Wings' brightest prospects four seasons ago, and made two appearances for the senior side before being let go to French club les stéfanois.

Now transfer-listed by Polish Division Seven side Kuglarze, there had been suggestions that Grilled might find him worth taking back, especially since they lack a recognized wide threat. His S$4.25 million valuation has proven a stumbling block, though.
