Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled took the lead after 9 minutes with 0 - 1. 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. After 23 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for 范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. After this, you could see that the players of Grilled were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. With 28 minutes played, Wellington's Abd Karim bin Hasyim fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Abd Karim bin Hasyim for diving. Grilled's 范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) got himself booked for a foul. The referee showed Wellington's 林 (Lin) 达中 (Dazhong) the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Vukota Crkvenjakov was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's Chua Qiang Dong had to come off the bench. After the ball was lifted in from the left, Chan Woon Jin was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 38 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Wellington's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 39 minutes gone, but Azmil bin Zainal's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Wellington's Mohd Amran bin Abd Jalil was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Halftime score was 0 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 72 percent possession of the ball.

The referee signalled a penalty 50 minutes into the game following an offence just inside of the box. Walter Ross knocked home the 0 - 3 goal just outside the reach of the goalkeeper. After 60 minutes, Grilled's 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. Grilled's 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 77 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 5 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. At that, 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) was noted down for a hat trick. The home keeper was stunned 80 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by Walter Ross and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 0 - 6. Grilled's Niculae Stanca was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. 范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over Mohd Ariffin bin Mohd Zain and it was a little too high and hit the bar. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

Wellington's best player was Mohd Amran bin Abd Jalil. Liu Ze Teck on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Safri bin Mohamad. Chan Woon Jin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
