Sunny 0 - 9 Grilled
e 53831 spectators at Sunny Beach Boys Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Per Håkansson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jordi Marambio and
Jakub Urszulewicz. Sunny decided to use a 4-3-3 set up. Lineup: bin Kamaluddin - De Seng, Hehenkamp, bin Sheikh Ibrahim, bin Hashim - de Ruijter, Lambert, Frigyes - Thik Chin, 景耀 (Jingyao), Pin Leng.
Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Dias Paes - Crkvenjakov, Behr, Mausisa - Penati, Back, Dorogan, Branbilla - Bögengang, bin Mohd Kassim, Rotteveel.
Sunny clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. 3 minutes into the match, Grilled nearly took the lead, as
Ciro Penati broke through on the right.
Mohd Ali bin Kamaluddin made the save, however. Grilled took the lead after 17 minutes with 0 - 1.
Domenik Bögengang placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. A well placed corner kick from
Maikel Rotteveel was followed by
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Grilled, the score now 0-2. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 24 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 3 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let
Safri bin Mohamad replace
Maikel Rotteveel after 30 minutes. A thrilling play through the middle 34 minutes into the match gave Grilled's
Roberto Mausisa a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. After 36 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Ronny Behr who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 92 percent of possession.
The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes,
Quah Han Kok came on for
Erik Back. After 57 minutes, Grilled's
Ronny Behr burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. As
Domenik Bögengang was substituted 60 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead.
Martin Torsson was the replacement. Grilled's
Gleb Dorogan was shown a yellow card after 61 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Shan Thik Chin was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Sunny's
Chen Zheng Quan had to come off the bench. The intense heat forced
Quah Han Kok into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. With 71 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed
Ronny Behr, of Grilled, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 7. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Ronny Behr. With 74 minutes of the game having been played,
Ciro Penati received a blow to the hip in a collision, and was unable to continue. Grilled, with no available replacements, had to face the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. The referee showed Sunny's
Quek Pin Leng the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After the ball was lifted in from the left,
Martin Torsson was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 80 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The game had been on for 83 minutes when
Martin Torsson broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. A drive on the left side allowed Grilled's
Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim to get in close and score a goal after 88 minutes, leading to 0 - 9. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 95 percent of the time.
林 (Lin) 景耀 (Jingyao) performed admirably for Sunny. On the other hand,
Chua De Seng's play was disheartening. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Valdir Dias Paes. However,
Roberto Mausisa made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 9.
