Grilled 3 - 2 Cochrane
rk skies made the crowd of 3342 at The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Leif Magnus Geißer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Seye Graas and
Filip Håkansson. Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Silvera - Woon Jin, Chuan Heng, bin Yaacob - 达荣 (Darong) , Mirchev, Mourão, Josefsson - bin Mohamad, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Cunha Simões.
Cochrane tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Lineup: Olçun - Nissinen, Javorek, Cayley, Makaryin, Ishtaq - Andersen, Di Dato, Brandt, Jensen - Husseiny.
For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Edvaldo Mourão's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 4 minutes gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead.
Ivaylo Mirchev struck a 30 metre free kick home 20 minutes into the match. 2 - 0 for the home team. Against a lesser team, Grilled could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick combination after 39 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Grilled's
田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) got himself booked for a foul. The player down was
Kresten Andersen. The Cochrane bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Cochrane held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.
As
Ângelo Cunha Simões was substituted 46 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead.
鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let
Martin Torsson replace
Safri bin Mohamad after 46 minutes. 66 minutes into the match, Cochrane replied and reduced the lead to 2 - 1.
Jabir Husseiny scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. Grilled solidified their lead at the 71 minute mark, as
封 (Feng) 达荣 (Darong) manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 3 - 1. 72 minutes in and an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
Kirill Makaryin charged ahead and scored, reducing to 3 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Cochrane , with an impressive 57 percent possession of the ball.
Martin Torsson performed admirably for Grilled.
Chan Woon Jin turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Cochrane player was without a doubt
Corrado Di Dato.
Silvester Javorek on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
