LA 0 - 3 Grilled

841 punters turned up at colesius atrium, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Elias Langhoyer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Péter Döme and Mariano Orellana. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for LA. Starters: Jimenez - Thomsen, Judež, Humphreys - Abbeldwatsch, Best, Stepen, Izagirre, Behringer - Edel, Senzanonna.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Dias Paes - Crkvenjakov, Behr, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, Han Kok, Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, Bögengang, Rotteveel.

Grilled were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Grilled had a good opportunity to score the lead goal but the home team's goalkeeper Ramón Jimenez saved Quah Han Kok's shot that was headed for the top corner from the right. Grilled's Domenik Bögengang could have put the guests one up after 21 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but Ramón Jimenez was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. LA were awarded a penalty after 25 minutes of play, but Colin Best's shot skimmed just wide. A well placed corner kick from Maikel Rotteveel was followed by Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Grilled, the score now 0-1. It was 0 - 1 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by LA, with an impressive 55 percent possession of the ball.

Grilled earned themselves a free kick after a counterattack wasn't dealt with adequately by their opponents. Maikel Rotteveel powered the shot in for 0 - 2. Grilled's Maikel Rotteveel wanted to play on, but 62 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for Martin Torsson. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Grilled coach let 鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) replace Domenik Bögengang after 62 minutes. The referee showed Grilled's Matthias Branbilla the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Bastien Edel's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for LA, he bravely continued in the match. LA's Milan Judež was shown a yellow card after 65 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 68 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by Grilled's Martin Torsson from Ciro Penati's centered ball looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach, making the score 0 - 3. After this, Grilled lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Grilled were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 76 minutes into the match, but Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. The crowd groaned when Emiri Izagirre, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for LA. LA held the ball, with a clear 55 percent of possession.

LA's best player was Egon Thomsen. Philip Humphreys was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly Valdir Dias Paes. 鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
