Grilled 2 - 4 Amiga
ouds darkened the skies at The Cooking Pot as 2804 spectators turned up for the match.
Helmut Heinsbroek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pablo Hernández Ramos and
Bastien von Koss. Grilled started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Silvera - Woon Jin, Mirchev, bin Yaacob - 达荣 (Darong) , Chuan Heng, Mourão, bin Mustapa - 力海 (Lihai) , bin Mohamad, Cunha Simões.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Amiga. Lineup: Niemczyński - Zawadzki, Dobos, Holak - Dangl, Traczyk, Hagen, Cavalluci - Trzepacz, Fornalski, Tarski.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Amiga took the lead 2 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Roman Tarski was the scorer.
Gaweł Traczyk was, after 9 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper
Alvaro Silvera made the save. With 25 minutes played,
Hubert Fornalski nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
Lim Chuan Heng got left behind when Amiga's
Alain Cavalluci made a sudden pull forward after 31 minutes, finishing off with a swift strike. 0 - 2! At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Amiga. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for team Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle to get them on. The away team's
Hubert Fornalski took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 43 minutes which increased Amiga's lead to 0 - 3. Amiga's
Roman Tarski left the field after 44 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
Maciej Kitala. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. This half belonged to Amiga, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.
After 46 minutes, Grilled switched
Ângelo Cunha Simões with
Michele Salieri, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and in the 46th minute Grilled's coach gave
Martin Torsson the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) reluctantly left the field. Grilled had a good oppurtunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as
Edvaldo Mourão tried lifting the ball over keeper
Zenon Niemczyński. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. After 71 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
Bjarne Hagen to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. An accurate cross from Grilled's
封 (Feng) 达荣 (Darong) was met with a wonderful glancing header from
Martin Torsson, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 1 - 4. After 82 minutes of game time,
Aleksander Trzepacz had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
Alvaro Silvera was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. Grilled supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to
Chan Woon Jin who reduced the visitors' lead after 84 minutes to 2 - 4. Amiga held the ball, with a clear 63 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Martin Torsson. However,
Badrul Afzan bin Mustapa made a disastrous appearance. Amiga's best player was
Maciej Kitala.
Hubert Fornalski was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
