After 35 minutes, Grilled put themselves up by 0 - 1, as Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. Some lightning fast two foot dribbles by 封 (Feng) 达荣 (Darong) left Cheong Ting Qiang way behind after 40 minutes, but the shot was just wide. Against a lesser team, Grilled could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick combination after 43 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. 43 minutes into the match, the speedy Mohamad Feriza bin Raja Shoib easily outpaced Ivaylo Mirchev to knock in the 1-1 goal. Grilled had to make a substitution after 44 minutes. Valdir Dias Paes limped off the field and was replaced by Lim Shun Jin. T's Mohamad Feriza bin Raja Shoib left the field after 44 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Wong Leong Woon. It might be a while before the fans see T's Dennis Huel again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 44 minute mark. He was replaced by 田 (Tian) 汉文 (Hanwen). 60 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. 鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) came on for Ângelo Cunha Simões. Grilled had a good opportunity to score the lead goal but the home team's goalkeeper Dieter Böckmann saved Gleb Dorogan's shot that was headed for the top corner from the right. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 82 minutes allowed Matthias Branbilla to score the 1 - 2 goal for Grilled. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Safri bin Razali performed admirably for T. 田 (Tian) 汉文 (Hanwen) was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was Matthias Branbilla. On the other hand, Lim Shun Jin's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 2.
