Zhi Aric bemoaned his luckless debut as the striker-turned-defender suffered two hard knocks which will put him out of contention for almost a month. "I was minding my own business when some player just lunged into me in a needless challenge. The referee didn't even see that. I was limping for much of the remainder of the match, when suddenly two players just lunged into me."
Aric's long-term injury woes will force Grilled to scour for another backup just in case. Fellow forward Chiew-Yen, who did not feature in Grilled's 1-1 draw with Casilium, offered his condolences but added that it should not be a great worry for Aric. "Aric is one of those players who can both score and set up his teammates. I look forward to when we can play together again."
