The first player to be promoted from Grilled's youth ranks has already been touted as on par with the club's other veteran defenders by none other than Ding Sun-Nee himself. "Ong's big, strong and has above average anticipation. I'm sure that he will make an immediate impact on the field." Ong, who has shone in the youth team games he has played in, and who sees himself as a player in the mould of Manchester United's John O'Shea, believes that the transition to the real league will be an easy one.
