Chaos 5 - 3 Grilled

had rained all day, but 63000 hardy fans still made it out to Red Chaos Arena. Eemeli Tuoreniemi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jakub Sasanek and Werner Tiefenböck. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Chaos. Starters: Jung Kook - bin Kadir, Yau Seng, Latabár - Astola Madariaga, 方舰 (Fangjian) , bin Omar, Hidzan, Ã…kesson - Carr, Spencer.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Dias Paes - Zywczyn, Lik-Tsun, Árva - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Spirig, Han Kok - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.

It was an obvious ambition of Chaos to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Grilled on this day. Chaos broke through on the left 7 minutes into the game, with Bulcsú Latabár firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. The referee showed Chaos's 麦 (Mai) 方舰 (Fangjian) the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Chaos's Bulcsú Latabár saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 29 minutes. Maikel Rotteveel's speed was clear to see after 43 minutes as he darted past his marker and struck an opening pass to Subri bin Ku Zainol who scored the 1-1 goal. Chaos took the lead 45 minutes in, as Jerome Carr broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Ciro Penati, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. Stephen Spencer's curling free kick almost found the goal for Chaos, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. After 45 minutes, Stephen Spencer put Chaos ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Confident in their lead, Chaos decided to play a more defensive game at this point. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Chaos's Remeli bin Kadir got himself booked. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Chaos, with an impressive 61 percent possession of the ball.

The rain made it hard for players like Sylweriusz Zywczyn to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. A bit later, Grilled's Han Lik-Tsun easily reduced to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. Chaos added another goal to their lead as Mats Åkesson struck home the 4 - 2 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. The referee showed Grilled's Maikel Rotteveel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled's Sylweriusz Zywczyn was able to reply, after 82 minutes, with the 4 - 3 goal on a penalty. Chaos added another goal to their lead as Stephen Spencer struck home the 5 - 3 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. Weng Seng-Huat was called on to replace Grilled's Zoltán Árva after 87 minutes following a nasty collision. Chaos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Chaos player was without a doubt Mohd Ali Hidzan. Ting Yau Seng turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Grilled player was Matthias Branbilla. On the other hand, Weng Seng-Huat's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 3.
