Geostarz used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Grilled clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Julio Aguirre de Cárcer, but the Geostarz player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 16 minutes into the match Geostarz's Siegmar Sadlo head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. The Grilled player who had to be helped off the pitch, was John MacKinnon as he was unable to finish the game. Peter Fjällbratt came in to finish the match. Valdir Dias Paes was caught napping as Henrik Knudsen lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. Vurnon Hassert had a fantastic opportunity to put Geostarz up another goal 25 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Geostarz's lead to 2 - 0 as Vurnon Hassert finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. After this, Geostarz lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Geostarz held the ball, with a clear 64 percent of possession.

A bit later, Grilled's Nawaz Talib easily reduced to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 61 minutes into the game, Grilled's Zoltán Árva surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to Maikel Rotteveel who easily found the back of the net, bringing the score to 2 - 2. Geostarz created a good opportunity to score 66 minutes into the match when Henrik Knudsen's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Matthias Branbilla of Grilled received a yellow card after 74 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Erling Tolstrup performed admirably for Geostarz. On the other hand, Cai Jong-Seok's play was disheartening. Valdir Dias Paes performed admirably for Grilled. However, Han Lik-Tsun made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 2.
