Wu Follows Suit
18 year-old right winger Wu Kwang Lai was hot on the heels of Wong in moving on from the Chicken Wings, as the club accepted a S$204 000 bid from Colombian Division Six side Duendes F.C. Word is out that Wu may not stop there if he impresses in Duendes' trials, but be passed on to an even bigger club.
That proved the clincher for Wu against an otherwise equal offer from French Division Seven side Behobie, who rated Wu's willingness to track back and latent sharpshooting abilities highly. "It is uncommon for a young lad to be both technically accomplished and tough, and if he were a year younger he would be on almost any coach's shopping list." a local scout remarked.
