Singapore's U-20 team lost their third match in a row, for while they took the game to the Philippines, both sides' defences were too strong for there to be plenty of goals. Every goal would prove decisive, and sure enough Juan Pablo Olaya's tenth minute strike swept all three points for the hosts.

Han Kok now has one last chance to cap his U-20 career with a goal, but it will be against next stage qualifiers Israel.
