24 year-old Polish winger Sándor Deme left Grilled for Spanish Division Eight side El del medio de los chichos, citing a lack of first-team chances. The move left Grilled S$2.2 million richer, a tidy sum that should help to tide the club over the offseason.

"It's probably a step down, but at my age a footballer needs regular games." the lanky Deme said. "I've made maybe two dozen appearances here, many of them in the Cup, and it's just too little. I regret that I had to ask for a transfer, but the manager was nice about it."

svendsenfc (Danish Division Seven) and Città di Ede (Dutch Division Nine) were the other clubs to meet Grilled's asking price, but the lure of the weather and low taxes in Spain proved the deciding factor.
