Razer 2 - 5 Grilled
519 punters turned up at Fortress Tactics, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Mirko Doswald was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jérome Mailhot and
Kévin Grisard. The match took place on neutral ground. Razer started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Jiao-Long - Tellbrant, Wee-Hwa, Patel - Thanh-long, Tsu-Yee, Kitrattana, Shen, Mun-Nee - Hellell, Hyun-Shik.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Bona, Falkbo - van Liere, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Siu-Yue, Han Kok - Wai-Kin, Martinsson.
With 28 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
Hidde van Liere put the ball away for 0 - 1. Grilled's
Hidde van Liere received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 38 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 2 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one.
Hidde van Liere increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 3. This third goal made a hat trick for
Hidde van Liere. Razer didn't give in and with 41 minutes played
Daniel Hellell was able to put the 1 - 3 goal away after a play on the right. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
Quah Han Kok of Grilled was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
Thomas Tellbrant, which resulted in the 1 - 4 goal. Grilled increased the lead to 1 - 5 as
Sylweriusz Zywczyn scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half.
Wang Wee-Hwa sprang high, as always, and was very close to scoring with a header after a corner, but just barely missed.
Hidde van Liere came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over
Mak Jiao-Long and it was a little too high and hit the bar. Razer's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 80 minutes into the match as
Tse Hyun-Shik ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 2 - 5. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
Razer's best player was
Weng Shen.
Tse Hyun-Shik on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was
Shen Kek-Tjiang.
Jörgen Falkbo was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 5.
