Grilled 1 - 2 Zastava
000 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Andreas Kronstad was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Meije van Aart and
Simon Myhra. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Bona, Falkbo - van Liere, Kek-Tjiang, Siu-Yue, Paullin, Han Kok - Wai-Kin, Martinsson.
Zastava started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. They fielded: Coric - Schwager, Bladell, Everstål - Kagawa, Hääl, Jonsson, Henriksen - Engsten, Walenta, Benak.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Zastava. Grilled could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but
Cao Wai-Kin missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. 11 minutes into the game,
Oliver Hääl was a hair's breadth away from giving Zastava the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman saved the home team that time. Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
Ola Martinsson completely alone with keeper
Ladislav Coric, who made a spectacular block. 20 minutes in, Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Zastava's
Bjørn Henriksen went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Grilled's
Quah Han Kok was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
Ola Martinsson managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 0 after 25 minutes. Halftime score was 1 - 0. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.
Grilled's
Cao Wai-Kin had an excellent opportunity after 54 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! The referee showed Zastava's
Niklas Engsten the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Au-Yong Siu-Yue was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's
Terkel Borup had to come off the bench. Grilled's
Cao Wai-Kin had an excellent opportunity after 76 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! 78 minutes in, Zastava's
Oliver Hääl received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
Hidde van Liere of Grilled spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. With the scoreboard clock showing 83 minutes, the inexperienced Grilled team fell into disarray. A well placed corner kick from
Blahoslav Walenta was followed by
Zvonimir Benak's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Zastava, the score now 1-1. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called.
Sakutaro Kagawa really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
Anton Schwager after a corner. After 106 minutes, Zastava's
Thord Bladell made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. Extra time over, Zastava were the victors!
Most important Grilled player was
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman.
Jörgen Falkbo was a disappointment, however. Most important Zastava player was
Ladislav Coric.
Bjørn Henriksen was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
