300 spectators arrived at Blackwood Field, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Juan Gilberto Prol was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Frank Jongbloed and
Tommy Håkansson. heimu started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Jeppsson - bin Mamud, de Roock, Chee Khin - Guang Kim, Kum-Leong, Beng Liang, bin Ismail, Thorstensson - Hyquist, Steffen.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Bona, Falkbo, Alcántara - Spirig, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Siu-Yue, Borup - Martinsson.
It seemed as though Grilled considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game. heimu mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Amir Batcha bin Mamud seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in the 1-0 goal for heimu after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
Johan Thorstensson.
Thord Hyquist should probably have put his team up another goal after 18 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman kept the visitors in the game.

Lee Beng Liang might have resulted in another goal for heimu. However,
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman made a spectacular save. With 38 minutes played, heimu's
Tong Chee Khin fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Tong Chee Khin for diving. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by heimu, with an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.
A couple of well chosen halftime words made Grilled get a hold of themselves, and they seemed more concentrated during the second half.
Thord Hyquist should probably have put his team up another goal after 51 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman kept the visitors in the game. When
Tong Chee Khin made yet another studs-first tackle after 52 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the heimu player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. The player down was
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. The Grilled bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. 64 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Thord Hyquist dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for heimu. With 66 minutes played, Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Au-Yong Siu-Yue for diving. A bit later, Grilled's
Dani Spirig easily reduced to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. A great save by keeper
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman after 77 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
Shamsul Akmar bin Ismail struck from the left with a real cannonball. The crowd was silenced 80 minutes into the match as the visiting team's
Shen Kek-Tjiang came in from the left, levelling the score to 2 - 2. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.
heimu's best player was
Zong Kum-Leong.
Amir Batcha bin Mamud on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was
Shen Kek-Tjiang.
Luis Alcántara was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
