ChAmPzz 2 - 0 Grilled

505 spectators had come to ChAmPzz Arena this cloudy day. Giorgio Kooy was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefano Campana and Mimmo Troiano. ChAmPzz had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Ödahl - Bleidelis, Claesson, bin Mat Jusoh - Hasselskär, Jong-chih, Chu, Yah-Lin, Gulpen - Kauppi, Hägerflod.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Lineup: Abed-Sulaiman - Tuan-Mu, Bona, Falkbo, Liehner - van Liere, Han Kok, Jie Siong, Kek-Tjiang, Borup - Wai-Kin.

It was obvious that Grilled were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. ChAmPzz's Eero Kauppi tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. ChAmPzz's Eero Kauppi proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 1 - 0. With 31 minutes played, Jiang Yah-Lin could have brought this one home for ChAmPzz as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. At this time in the match, Grilled were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. ChAmPzz's Kalle Hägerflod got himself booked for a foul. The player down was Quah Han Kok. The Grilled bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. 42 minutes in, Grilled appeared unsure on how to play and their organization was only inadequate. Koen Gulpen almost managed to score another goal for ChAmPzz, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. The game was close to savage at times, and ChAmPzz's Kalle Hägerflod received a second yellow card after 44 minutes, his ticket out of the game. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. ChAmPzz claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

During the break, Grilled's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organization. With 48 minutes played, ChAmPzz's Koen Gulpen fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Koen Gulpen for diving. 72 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organization. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, ChAmPzz's Koen Gulpen somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Eero Kauppi, who struck for 2 - 0. The referee showed Grilled's Cao Wai-Kin the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 80 minutes played, Per Hasselskär could have brought this one home for ChAmPzz as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A great save by keeper Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman after 84 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Zhao Jong-chih struck from the left with a real cannonball. ChAmPzz claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

ChAmPzz's best player was Per Ödahl. Per Hasselskär was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. Terkel Borup on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
