FeMaiden 0 - 8 Grilled

000 punters turned up at FeMaiden Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. John Risberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Erik Gubán and Axel Nooten. FeMaiden had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. They fielded: Richli - Hansson, bin Anusai, Sellund, bin Ariffin - Jian Ah, Seong, Yu-Xing, Wai Kok, Woon Teck - Qiang Puay.

Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Harlow - Stanton, Bona, Liehner - Paullin, Spirig, Borup, Han Kok, Barbour - Langeland, Martinsson.

With 23 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Terkel Borup put the ball away for 0 - 1. 23 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Quah Han Kok finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Grilled's Earl Barbour was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - Jan Langeland managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 3 after 31 minutes. Jan Langeland increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Ola Martinsson could have put his team up another goal 44 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Soh Wai Kok of FeMaiden received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 45 minutes of game time, Ola Martinsson had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Alain Kei Richli was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 70 percent possession of the ball.

58 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as Jan Langeland finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. By then Jan Langeland was a three time scorer - a hat trick! After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Quah Han Kok who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 6. Grilled increased the lead to 0 - 7 as Ola Martinsson scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Ola Martinsson increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 8. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

Most important FeMaiden player was Soh Wai Kok. Tan Woon Teck on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Jan Langeland. However, Asher Stanton made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
