Singapore 3 - 2 Grilled
e 74041 spectators at The Dome Of The White Lion were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Felipe Encina was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Diderick Töscher and
Markus Tujula. Singapore had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Xiaolun - Hee-Jun, Stensson, Chan - Tat-Chung, Yong-chul, Kwee-Lee, bin Jantan, bin Ahman - An Da, Possen.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Harlow - Bona, Rottman, Falkbo - Paullin, Stanton, Siu-Yue, Kek-Tjiang, Spirig - Langeland, Martinsson.
31 minutes in, Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Sun Tat-Chung gave Singapore the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post.
Nie Yong-chul should probably have put his team up another goal after 35 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Clair Harlow kept the visitors in the game. A great save by keeper
Clair Harlow after 39 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
Lin Hee-Jun struck from the left with a real cannonball. Grilled levelled the score after 44 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as
Ola Martinsson struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle, leaving him completely unmarked. When
Au-Yong Siu-Yue made yet another studs-first tackle after 45 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Grilled player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Singapore, with an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.
Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a goal after 72 minutes by
Lin Hee-Jun for Singapore, putting them ahead 2 - 1. 74 minutes in, Grilled's
Fabian Bona received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 83 minutes played,
Vincent Possen could have brought this one home for Singapore as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. The home side's
Nie Yong-chul came close to extending the lead 85 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
Clair Harlow managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Asher Stanton made a run for the goal 86 minutes into the game but the home team's far left defence managed to sort the situation out in the end. The referee showed Singapore's
Vincent Possen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 89 minutes of play, Grilled's
Dani Spirig unexpectedly struck an inside out ball from no angle at all and
Ola Martinsson forwarded it into goal for 2 - 2.
Kok An Da gave Singapore the lead with 3 - 2, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Singapore, with an impressive 59 percent possession of the ball.
Singapore's best player was
Chew Xiaolun.
Abdul Hadi bin Ahman on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was
Asher Stanton.
Jon Andrea Rottman was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
