Grilled 3 - 3 Hattrick
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 69578 at The Cooking Pot today.
Åge Hagenes was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Janez Korošec and
Tagulani Tekere. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Harlow - Bona, Rottman, Falkbo - van Liere, Stanton, Siu-Yue, Kek-Tjiang, Spirig - Langeland, Martinsson.
Hattrick had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Alley - Strassburger, Magnusson, Ben Mohammed - Taipale, Kyhlbom, Preda, Rosblom - Lennartsson, Karim, Donát.
Hattrick clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After a fine move down the middle
Jörgen Falkbo nearly gave the home side a goal after 8 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. After 22 minutes, Hattrick's
Finn Karim surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 0 - 1. 24 minutes in, and Grilled was able to score the equalising 1 - 1 goal when
Ola Martinsson picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. After a fine move down the middle
Shen Kek-Tjiang nearly gave the home side a goal after 35 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 58 percent of possession.
Hattrick took the lead after 64 minutes with 1 - 2.
Mahmoud Ben Mohammed placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Due to some great work on the right wing Grilled's
Ola Martinsson was able to even the score after 67 minutes to make the score 2 - 2. After 68 minutes of play,
Ola Martinsson gave the home team a 3 - 2 lead after an attack coming in from the right. At that,
Ola Martinsson was noted down for a hat trick. The referee showed Grilled's
Ola Martinsson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Ola Martinsson should probably have put his team up another goal after 71 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Eric Alley kept the visitors in the game. The visitors didn't give in and, after 74 minutes,
Gogu Preda got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 3 - 3. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 58 percent of possession.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Shen Kek-Tjiang. However,
Jon Andrea Rottman made a disastrous appearance. Most important Hattrick player was
Eric Alley.
Finn Karim on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.
