After 10 minutes, Grilled's Subri bin Ku Zainol made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. A thrilling play through the middle 23 minutes into the match gave Grilled's John MacKinnon a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The game had been on for 27 minutes when Matthias Branbilla broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. After 34 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Quah Han Kok to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

Grilled's 胡 (Hu) 剑勇 (Jianyong) was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 50 minutes. Juan Luis Gómez charged down the left and looked sure to score for LuoRe 51 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. With 54 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Maikel Rotteveel. Attila Puhl got a fingertip on Subri bin Ku Zainol's shot from the left 62 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 68 minutes, following yet another great corner, 范 (Fan) 川城 (Chuancheng) knocked the ball to the limit of Quah Han Kok's reach, who just couldn't put it in the net. Maikel Rotteveel increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 6. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 52 percent of possession.

Muhamad Khalid bin Md Jan performed admirably for LuoRe. On the other hand, Alican Yücalan's play was disheartening. Grilled's top performer was clearly Valdir Dias Paes. Weng Seng-Huat was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
