A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 25 minutes led to Grilled's Maikel Rotteveel giving the visitors the lead 0 - 1. Grilled's Quah Han Kok got himself booked for a foul. 39 minutes into the match, Subri bin Ku Zainol came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 42 minutes gave Initial a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and Jörg Wientapper stepped up to the challenge, netting the 1 - 1 goal. Ciro Penati of Grilled received a yellow card after 43 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The terraces were silenced after 44 minutes when Grilled's Quah Han Kok put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. As Miguel Claro had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Initial player a red card without batting an eyelid. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Javier Rodríguez took over the role of being the Initial captain. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Subri bin Ku Zainol of Grilled spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. The home crowd cheered when, after 44 minutes, Subri bin Ku Zainol's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. This part of the game was a standoff between the teams.

51 minutes in, Grilled's Nawaz Talib received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors' Badrul Afzan bin Mustapa took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 55 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Grilled. It took several tries, but Initial managed to break through on the left after 57 minutes, getting the ball to Ilkka Peltonen who easily reduced the lead to make the score 2 - 3. With 74 minutes having been played, Initial's Diethmar Leeger made a rush down the left, leaving him free to put the 3 - 3 equaliser away. With 75 minutes played, Initial's 木 (Mu) 尔康 (Erkang) fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked 木 (Mu) 尔康 (Erkang) for diving. Initial enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Initial's top performer was clearly Teodor Grotke. On the other hand, Kornelius Hoffarth's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was Valdir Dias Paes. Badrul Afzan bin Mustapa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
