Tinombala 1 - 1 Grilled
rk skies made the crowd of 33731 at Gelora Thole2 Tinombala Selawe a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Patrick Tant was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Iuliu Podeanu and
李 (Li) 德泽 (Deze) . The derby had been the talk of
West all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. Tinombala tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Wai-Kit - Tuulik, Chi Tao, Hauschel - Lampert, MaloÄa, Thien Chye, Ting Sze, Jansson - Kaldrup, Shang mei.
Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Dias Paes - Ãrva, Lik-Tsun, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Han Kok, è¾¾è£ (Darong) - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.
Tinombala clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. For their match strategy, Grilled had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. 5 minutes into the match, the speedy
Maikel Rotteveel easily outpaced
Huang Chi Tao to knock in the 0-1 goal. Tinombala tried to even things up by sending a long play towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. 27 minutes into the match, Tinombala's
Tan Ting Sze maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. Tinombala had a good opportunity to take the lead as
Lin Shang mei came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
Valdir Dias Paes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. This half belonged to Tinombala, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
With 69 minutes played
Deng Thien Chye almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Some great play up the middle by Tinombala led to a chance for
Nicolaj Kaldrup to get the go-ahead goal after 75 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Tinombala held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.
Most important Tinombala player was
Wang Wai-Kit.
Nativ Lampert turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Subri bin Ku Zainol.
å° (Feng) è¾¾è£ (Darong) was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
