Tan Ting Sze had a fantastic opportunity to put Tinombala up another goal 12 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Tinombala added another goal to their lead as Nicolaj Kaldrup struck home the 2 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. The home crowd was silenced as Maikel Rotteveel took a successful penalty shot 38 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 2 - 1. The intense heat forced Quah Han Kok into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. This half belonged to Tinombala, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Tinombala's top performer was clearly Deng Thien Chye. However, Ng Dong An made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Valdir Dias Paes. Sándor Deme turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
