Grilled 6 - 0 Thorocozzieq
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 58568 at The Cooking Pot today.
Willfried Manninger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
William Collot and
Marlon Frijling. People from all over
West had joined up for the derby. Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Dias Paes - Ãrva, Lik-Tsun, Talib - Penati, Branbilla, MacKinnon, Spirig, Han Kok - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.
Thorocozzieq tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Brehm - Pessina, Blanco, Doğruer - Ottero, Feng Han, bin Ali, Chin De, Ziołkowski - Herzig, bin Mohd Derus.
The referee showed Grilled's
Nawaz Talib the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled broke through on the left 9 minutes into the game, with
Subri bin Ku Zainol firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Subri bin Ku Zainol squirmed himself through their central defence after 14 minutes, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. 17 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Dani Spirig dashed through, knocking home 3 - 0 for Grilled. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Zoltán Ãrva putting the lead up to 4 - 0. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. This half belonged to Thorocozzieq, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
Maikel Rotteveel's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 56 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a snappy through ball to
Subri bin Ku Zainol who knocked it in for Grilled. 5-0! By then
Subri bin Ku Zainol was a three time scorer - a hat trick! Grilled's
Quah Han Kok was shown a yellow card after 59 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Mohd Atiq bin Ali was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Thorocozzieq's
Othman bin Abu had to come off the bench. After 60 minutes,
Francisco Blanco came close to reducing the score with a free kick aimed near the left post, but
Valdir Dias Paes warded the ball off to a corner. After 61 minutes,
Quah Han Kok put Grilled ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.
Valdir Dias Paes performed admirably for Grilled.
Ciro Penati turned in a dismal performance, however. Thorocozzieq's top performer was clearly
Mohd Zaharul Aiman bin Mohd Derus.
Othman bin Abu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
