Grilled 5 - 1 Geostarz

irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 71527 to The Cooking Pot. Carlos Eduardo Frias was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Echedey Beltrán and Lorenz Fiedelsberger. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Dias Paes - Lik-Tsun, Talib, Árva, Zywczyn - Spirig, Branbilla, Han Kok, Penati - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.

Geostarz decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Ottens - Melassi, Aguirre de Cárcer, Szekeres - Knudsen, Pârvu, bin Hashim, Aguilar, Kiškariovas - Hassert, Sadlo.

Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Geostarz seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Grilled fans held their breath as Ciro Penati scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the go-ahead goal for 1-0! 25 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Maikel Rotteveel dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Grilled. Vurnon Hassert had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper Valdir Dias Paes just wouldn't surrender. The visitors got one back when Siegmar Sadlo finished off a pass from the left and scored after 41 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. Kornelijus Kiškariovas has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 42 minutes into the match. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when Subri bin Ku Zainol cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 57 percent of possession.

Grilled managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when Matthias Branbilla cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Grilled's Dani Spirig was delighted to score the 5 - 1 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 52 minutes. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, John MacKinnon came on for Dani Spirig. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's Maikel Rotteveel a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 69 minutes into the game. Grilled's John MacKinnon had an excellent opportunity after 75 minutes, shooting on a through ball down the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! The referee showed Grilled's Subri bin Ku Zainol the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Quah Han Kok. However, Ciro Penati made a disastrous appearance. Geostarz's top performer was clearly Kornelijus Kiškariovas. Juan Cruz Melassi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
