Fishwhiskers 0 - 9 Grilled
ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7000 at Fishwhiskers United Arena today.
Ludovít Tlapák was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rubén Guara and
Luke Chatman. Fishwhiskers started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Hoi Chun - Lai Hsiang, Choon Ann, Khar Yau, Guang Ming - Kok Wei, Tu Huan, bin Hasyim, bin Ma’rup - Ariffin, Teng Hui.

Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings. 8 minutes into the game,
Subri bin Ku Zainol had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 12 minutes into the game. After 20 minutes, Grilled's
Subri bin Ku Zainol made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. It might be a while before the fans see Grilled's
John MacKinnon again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 29 minute mark. He was replaced by
Ivaylo Mirchev. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 29 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
Nawaz Talib was noted down as the scorer. The home crowd was not impressed when
Maikel Rotteveel came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 34 minutes. Grilled were now up 0 - 3. By now, Grilled were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. With 36 minutes played, Grilled's
Ciro Penati fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Ciro Penati for diving.
Ciro Penati made a nice rush in the 37 minute, but was eventually stopped by
Tan Guang Ming. With 39 minutes played, Fishwhiskers's
Liang Tu Huan fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
Liang Tu Huan for diving. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 77 percent of possession.
With 56 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Tapesh Chowdhury. Fishwhiskers's
Li Choon Ann got himself booked for a foul. The game had been on for 64 minutes when
Maikel Rotteveel broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and
Maikel Rotteveel was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 6 rolling the ball in by the right post. That made three goals for
Maikel Rotteveel and he was marked down for the hat trick.
Maikel Rotteveel of Grilled was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
Li Choon Ann, which resulted in the 0 - 7 goal. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 73 minutes, making it 0 - 8.
Subri bin Ku Zainol was noted down as the scorer. Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 80 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 9 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 80 percent possession of the ball.
Most important Fishwhiskers player was
Gu Teng Hui. On the other hand,
Li Choon Ann's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was
Quah Han Kok.
