Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The guests almost went up by a goal after 11 minutes when Maikel Rotteveel came through and shot from the right. After 34 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Formula found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to wretched. Maikel Rotteveel increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. After 40 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Maikel Rotteveel who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 4. Jesús Fresno of Formula was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 73 percent of possession.

The Formula players spent the halftime break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organization and regained a inadequate organization. With 71 minutes played, Ciro Penati nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as Tapesh Chowdhury finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 79 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Formula found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to inadequate. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Subri bin Ku Zainol got himself booked. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

Valeriu Neagu performed admirably for Formula. However, Santiago Bryan made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt John MacKinnon. On the other hand, Hang Bao-Tam's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 6.
