Formula 1 - 6 Grilled
44 spectators had come to "El Gran Prix" this cloudy day.
Max Falkenlind was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alexandru Dubinciuc and
Nikolay Kanchelskis. Formula had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Köszegi - Heleniak, Kunchev - Bryan, Ortiz, Martínez, Limón, Fresno - Hancel, Neagu, Shpringer.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Bao-Tam - Branbilla, Talib, Deme - Penati, MacKinnon, Spirig, Han Kok, Chowdhury - Rotteveel, bin Ku Zainol.
Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The guests almost went up by a goal after 11 minutes when
Maikel Rotteveel came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. 18 minutes into the game, Formula seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organization. 0 - 1 was the score with 22 minutes played, after Grilled's
Subri bin Ku Zainol cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 25 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
Dani Spirig was noted down as the scorer. After 34 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Formula found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to
wretched.
Maikel Rotteveel increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 3 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. After 40 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Maikel Rotteveel who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 4.
Jesús Fresno of Formula was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 73 percent of possession.
The Formula players spent the halftime break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organization and regained a
inadequate organization. With 71 minutes played,
Ciro Penati nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as
Tapesh Chowdhury finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 79 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Formula found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to
inadequate.
Quah Han Kok could have put his team up another goal 84 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. The visitors added to their lead 84 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's
Maikel Rotteveel slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 6. That made three goals for
Maikel Rotteveel and he was marked down for the hat trick. 85 minutes into the match, Formula's
Alfonso Limón collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 1 - 6. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's
Subri bin Ku Zainol got himself booked. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.
Valeriu Neagu performed admirably for Formula. However,
Santiago Bryan made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
John MacKinnon. On the other hand,
Hang Bao-Tam's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 6.
