Battery 0 - 1 Grilled

e to an all-day shower, 2283 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Blue Dream Arena. Víctor Cienfuegos was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Robert Hernán-Gómez and Ricardo Rodríguez. Battery had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. They fielded: Törnbeck - Berge, Nygård, Tufte, Gunson, Arachovidis - Nilsen, Fredriksson, Krogsrud, Vangsnes - Havlykke.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Huel-sheng - Seng-Huat, Tuan-Mu, Dewilde - Fernández Riviera, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, Kolesov - Stern, Chiew-Yen.

Battery clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Battery were very close to putting themselves one up after 3 minutes as Karsten Krogsrud got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Johan Dewilde was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was perfectly redirected by Jon Andrea Rottman, but the ball went into the frame. There wasn't much opportunity for rapid movements on this wet day, which hindered Joe Stern in particular. Battery could have put themselves ahead after 22 minutes but Kenneth Gunson missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

After a fine move down the middle Ole Havlykke nearly gave the home side a goal after 47 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Many thought Henrik Tufte ought to have been awarded a penalty shot 56 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Cheung Huel-sheng after a determined run through the middle. Grilled took the lead after 63 minutes with 0 - 1. Lorenz Paullin placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating Battery player was without a doubt Robert Fredriksson. Henrik Nilsen on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was Shen Kek-Tjiang. Chen Chiew-Yen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
